The Battlefield 4 Beta is coming soon. You’ll be able to play the Siege of Shanghai map in Conquest Mode or Domination Mode.

We’ve introduced a lot of new and exciting elements into Battlefield 4, like Levolution, Amphibious Assault, and much more. We can’t wait for everyone to try them out in the Beta!

Get this, my friend pre-ordered BF4 and paid in full. He ships out October 21st and asks me to go pick it up for him. It's for the xbox -.-

Still debating if I will get a PS3 version or just get the PS4 version since I'm buying the console at launch.

Just do what I am going to do. I pre-ordered the PS3 version. I will pick it up at launch, since it comes out on like Oct 19th(or somewhere close to it). PS4 releases Nov 15th(along with BF4 for PS4).

So I will pick up the PS3 version, play it for a month or so, then get the PS4, and then download it for $10 on the PSN for the PS4. That way I can keep playing with everyone on the PS3(I plan on keeping it for a little while longer) and when everyone gets off the PS3 for the night, I can hop on the PS4 version.

I'm still up in the air on whether I want the PS3 version as well. I know it's only a $10 difference if I download it later for PS4. I'm just not sure I want to even bother with it until it's on PS4. lol. I guess the beta will make up my mind one way or the other.

Some more news on the Bf4 Upgrade. What they are going to do is if you buy the PS3 version, then buy a PS4, you get the PS4 version downloaded for $10, but if you get the upgrade, you will still have to have your PS3 disk in your PS4 to play the upgraded version.

i dont think the first ps4's will be backwards compatible and im sure the coding will be slightly different to accommodate for the new hardware

They won't, but they will see that you have the PS3 BF4 disk in, and allow you to access the PS4 version. Just like a key to your car.

I can understand them doing this, because then everyone would be trading them in, and then they would be losing a ton of money on used older console sales, and next gen sales.

That's kind of strange but understandable. Now that I have GTA I'll probably just occupy my time on it for the next month or so. My PS4 and BF4 for it are already pre ordered so I'll just save my 10 bucks... That's half of my Minecraft purchase lol.

Ive yet to play it but ive seen some pretty cool videos of it.
Ive even seen a video where someone built their own deathstar haha
