Seriously, the forums seem dead lately. Is anyone going to get destiny when it comes out in Sept. I need to try to stay hyped for this one.

Seems like everyone is behind the curve when it comes to the new console. Not sure what the reason is. I would like to check out Destiny. It looked good.

Yeah, that and The Division. But word on the street is that The Division is Delayed till 2015. Which begs the question, why the f**k show it at E3 if it was still 2 years out.

Build hype, it is part of the marketing scheme now.
Build hype, put out buggy game. Patch it until it is how it should of came out of the box day one, but 6 months later.

Games will always have bugs...always. Find me someone who puts out a complex game like the two we're talking about without a single issue and I'll show the best programmers on the face of the earth. People complain that companies don't care anymore because they put out half done games etc. The truth is the games are just becoming much more complex and way too hard to get all the kinks ironed out in a small amount of time. That's just the nature of the beast. Shit even Mario Bros. has bugs and that's a rinky dink game lmao. The lines of code that go into building a game now compared to then is not even close. All a company can do is hope they find and fix as many of the obvious issues before release, but there will always be some that slip by.

I understand that, but sometimes it seems like "how did this go unnoticed?"

I understand that, but sometimes it seems like "how did this go unnoticed?" Since game companies now have the ability to patch games, even console games, they have pretty much killed the game tester work force. Seriously, companies like EA used to pay their testers $10/hr to find all their bugs, Must have had probably 100 people on their testing staff. Now, they have like 10, they find the most obvious bugs, as fast as they can, and then they ship out a Demo/Beta and people would pay to play the game early and complain about bugs.

It is kind of funny how tolerable we were with the Socom bugs compared to now lol I wasn't tolerable at all. After about 2 weeks with Socom 3, I went back to Socom 2 for a good 6 months. Then I moved to WA, and went back to Socom 3 because of all of the cheaters. Then Socom CA cameout, and I only played it because it started bringing back some actually decent maps. Threshold was a good one, and I loved the Socom 2 DLC maps.

I never get super hyped for any games these days, your most likely going to be let down someway or another. The game looks nice, most likely will be buying it.
